The Crossbody bag can also be requested to be created without the strap fixings to turn it into a compact cosmetic bag, or memory pouch to keep treasured memories in one place. Forever in Fabric by Fiona was founded following the transformation of a loved ones tartan skirt and cotton dress into memory pouches, gifted to the family members of all ages from her 88 year old husband down to her 7 year old granddaughter. Everyone was able to choose what to use their memory pouches for, from cosmetic bags for the teenage grandchildren, a treasure pouch for storing mementoes for the little ones, through to a wash bag for her husband. Each bag was made in exactly the same way, personalised with a different colour zip pull, through to using the pocket of the cotton dress in the lining of the pouch.
